SHARK!!

While we were in Port A, we got to go shopping at a little shop where we were "devoured" by a SHARK!! :o) Here is momma with the boys:

And here we decided to pretend like we were scared the shark.... not sure why the shark gave me a triple chin!

And the boys with daddy:

And rather than daddy looking like he was scared, he looks more like he is already a goner. I love the look on Bry's face... "what is my dad doing?"

More Beach pics

These are all the "posed pics" that we took Saturday night. I have lots more candid shots to weed thru that I will have to post later. I took almost 350 pictures. oops!

Here we are last year for comparison... look how much Bry has grown!

Best Family Beach Trip 2008. It was a little windier this year, and the sunset wasnt as pretty. But I was pleased. A special thanks to our second-year photographer, "little plastic white chair."

Sweet Brothers!
Micah took this pic! Not bad!
And Coby wanted to take one, too. He took this one. :o)

When the photo session was over, Bry asked, "all done?" When I told him yes, he took off running into the ocean fully clothed.

We're Home...

I think we brought home enough sand to build a sandcastle in my laundry room... so I will have to post more pics when I have time, but for now, here is a "teaser" for the grandmas....

ANOTHER ONE??!!

This was Bry towards the end of the photo session... we had bribed him with an oreo, but I think he was beginning to doubt us! :o)

More to some soon.... gotta go unload, unpack, and "move back in" at home!

Coby

Every Sunday before Bible class, my dad comes to get one of the grandkids for "breakfast with PawPaw" and yesterday it was Coby's turn. It happened to fall on Oct 5, his "half-birthday." he was so excited. Here was one of their conversations that my dad shared with me:

Coby: PawPaw, it is my lucky day... you know why?

PawPaw: Why?

Coby: Cause I get to have breakfast with you AND it's my half birthday. That's why it's lucky!

PawPaw: (Dad said he tried to explain the difference between lucky and blessed, and that luck was just when something "happens" and blessings were from God, etc... Coby just kinda nodded looked at him funny Than dad patted him on the leg)

Coby: PawPaw you know how much I love you? I love you all the way around the world 10 times, taking little baby steps.

Fry's Fun Farm

This week, the farm came to visit us at school. Bry LOVED all of it. He went from lovin on bunnied to feeding goats and cows, and then back to the bunnies. It was so cute!

Cason, on the other hand, plopped himslef down with a bunny in hand and he didnt move the whole time. He had bunnies jumping all around him and the just sat there holding them. He wasnt interested in the goats, cow, and horse. He told me later that he was afraid they would poop on his new shoes (that happened to me last hear, and I guess he remembers!) Funny boy! He did really enjoy snugglin with the bunnies!

Beach Babes!!

The last weekend in September is my "annual ladies beachtrip" weekend. I got to go on a fabulously relaxing beach trip with some girlfriends. My friends are such a blessing to me and I am so thankful for each of these girls... some could not go and were terrible missed, but those of us who went had a fun time!

Here are the beach bums... Julie didnt get the memo about the brown swimsuit cover-up.

I finally twisted arms enough to get themto pose for our picture in the shark's mouth. I about gave a kid a heart attack when I asked him to take our pic. He was riding by on his (bright orange) bicycle and I was tring to get his attention and hollered maybe a little to abrubtly.

Julie was the only one who would humor me with a "silly pic" This ones is for our boys!

Sweet friends... enjoying a dinner on the bay overlooking the water... and dining with the mosquitos...

Thanks to Clint for taking great care of the boys and letting me go. He took a trip to go visit GiGi and Gdad while I was gone, so the boys hardly missed me!

How much longer til next september?

Fun Times

We had a fun time at the park with our friends yesterday while the big boys were at school. Bry and his buddy Brinton were particularly cooperative with the photo-op, so I thought I would share....
Friends forever!!!!

Sweet boys all tuckered out from a lot of playtime!

Case-O and LuLu

Bry and Cason in one of those sweet moments where I wish I could just freeze time!

Brinton "helping" Lucy slide down

We had to cancel our trip to Fiesta Texas for Labor Day weekend due to an unwanted fever virus, so we took the boys bowling instead... here are the official score-keepers!

And the happiest (and cutest) bowler around! He thought he was so big!

Daddy's lil helper

So this picture doesnt really do it justice, but Bry's face was filthy with black smudges from "helping daddy" with his break job on my suburban. He had the best time playing with the yukky tire.
This video commentary is really just for the grandmas and others who just like to hear him talk. His little voice is so sweet at this age. :o) And of course, it wouldnt be a propper video of Bry is he didnt pitch at least a little fit!

Baseball and Tanner.... oh, and Brooke, too...

This weekend, we got some super spur of the moment free tickets to a Round Rock express baseball game. The boys had a blast and watching the game. They all played baseball this summer, so they were really more interested in the actual game this time. But I have to say that the highlight of the evening had really nothing to do with baseball. It was a treat to see my friend, Brooke, especially since it had been way too long since we had seen her. The boys were excited to see her (and when we pulled into the Dell Diamond parking lot, Cason said, "Oh, I remember this baseball game. This is Brooke's baseball park!") but all they can talk about now is "when will we get to see Tanner again?" She had her new little puppy up in their suite and she took all 4 boys up there to see him. They fell in love with this dog. They have all been begging to go visit him again and they have also asked for a dog of their own (thanks, Brooke!). Cason said he was going to ask Santa to bring him one. I told him I wasnt sure if it was safe for a puppy to ride on the sleigh but we can see. Brooke, you may need to help me explain that one, too! :o)

So here is a sweet pic of the boys, Brooke, and Tanner
And one thing Bry was NOT so sure about was sharing his cookie with Tanner. He liked him alright, but not that much! The cookie monster is kinda stingy with his cookies! :o)

(Another) 1st day of school....

Well, we survived yet another first day of school her in the best household... Bryson and Cason had their first day of preschool today. Actually, it was their first day to go to the babysitting at the preschool while mommy did some teacher inservice days, but we called it "the first day" Bryson was so excited... I dont think he really knew what "first day of school" meant, but he did understand that we got the new Lightning McQueen lunch box off of the hook in the laundry room where it has been hanging for the past 3 weeks since he picked it out. He would go in there and get it and bring it to me and I would tell "no, we arent going to pack lightning until the 1st day of school..." Well, it has arrived and let me just say that Lightning did NOT dissappoint. Bry "helped" me pack the lunches this morning and I let him put the cookies in. I reminded him that he doesnt eat the cookies until all his food was gone. We zipped him all up and I started a movie for him while I hopped thru the shower (as Cason was still snoozing...) Bry rounded the corner about 10 minutes later and said, "Fank you mommy.... Cookies" ("thank you mommy for the cookies") I peaked out and he had in his hand his empty ziplock bag and the evidence of his dessert all over his face. I wish I had taken a picture of him in his bright blue superman undies and his chocolate face... but I guess I was a bit indisposed at the time. I guess it is safe to say that Bry wont be packing the lunches for a while....

All in all, the boys had a fun first day. Cason is really excited about school this year bc he has a ROCKIN teacher (his momma) and he is so excited about being in my class. I think Bry will enjoy it even more, too since he really enjoys "playing" with his friends more now that he is older. Here is a picture of my boys on their first day of preschool in 2008-2009. How big are they?
The sun was really bright, so it isnt the best pic, but they are sure cute in their little backpacks!
I had them turn so they werent facing into the sun to get a better pic. Look how Bry is still tightly clenching his new lunchbox!
