We took a quick trip to Jacksboro for Clint's homecoming. The boys loved going to the football game, but I forgot to bring my camera in! We drove straight from the boys' school to the football field, so it was buried amongst all the luggage, so we just decided to enjoy the game with out pictures. We sneaked onto the field the next morning to sanp a few pics in their new tiger shirts from Gigi.

The Great-Grand Tour

Every year, around the 4th of July, we make a big trip to go visit all 7 of my kids great-grandparents... we feel so incredibly blessed to have so many of them living for my kids to know... And as much as we wish we could see them more often, we have committed to visiting them at least once a year so that the boys will know and remember them. They are our legacy...

We started off in Abilene, halfway to Jal, at the Abilene ZOO. We met up with Uncle Russ and Aunt Angie, and our cousin Jarrell. If you look closely, you can see sute lil boys in these letters:

Then we loaded back up and headed off to New Mexico to see my grandparents...

Then we headed back to TX to meet up with Clint's family for the 4th of July...

Crazy Gran Gran!!

We headed to Merkel for church with Mamaw and Papaw to celebrate their 80th birthdays...

It is always an adventurour trip, but always lots of fun... everything went great and it was so good to see lots of family.... but it is always good to be back home, too!

The Great-Grand Tour

It is an incredible blessing that my boys have 7 great-grandparents still here with us, so we try to make a trip to go see all of them at least once a year. The trip was about 1200 miles total, and it was loads of FUN! On Wednesday, we loaded up the 'burban with the luggage, the movies, the snacks, the pillows, and the boys and headed out to West Texas... Our first stop was Coahoma, TX to visit Gran Gran. The boys love her so much. They always talk about how Gran Gran is always laughing... and they are so right! She was all giggles and smiles the whole time we were there!

Then on Thursday, we crossed the state line and geaded onto Jal, New Mexico to visit my grandparents...

We also got to visit my Pop Pop and KK. They had lots of fun playing in their rocks, climging their fence, and playing baseball at their house. We also went with KK to see the fireworks at the park. I didnt get a great pic there, but this at least documents the occasion I guess. It was dark and they had been waiting for the fireworks to start....

Then we headed back into Texas, stopping on the way back in Noodle, Texas (30 miles outside of Abilene) to see Mamaw and Papaw. One of the highlights of their house is the TRACTORS!! Although, I am not sure who had more fun racing the tractors... Papaw or the boys!

We went from Noodle to Jacksboro to see GiGi and Gdad, but I was bad and forgot to take a picture!! But we drove up to Wichita Falls and picked up my nephew Dustin and brought him home with us for the week. I decided to leave Coby and Cason there with GiGi to go to their VBS in Jacksboro, so I just brought 3 home with me. Micah and Dustin have had a blast so far this week!

It was a great, memorable trip... But after a 1200 miles, 5 stops, and 9 grandparents in less than one week, here is how we all feel.......

Our Annual West TX / New Mexico Tour

950 miles, 7 great-grandparents, 4 different houses to stay in, a brand new baby cousin, plus 3 more fun cousins, several aunts and uncles, lots of movies in the car, several potty-breaks, an entire box of goldfish, and tons of fun later.... we are back home from our annual west tx/nm tour. The kids look forward to going every year, and this year was no different. I literally downloaded 0ver 200 pictures, so here are a few of my favorites:

We stopped first at Noodle, TX (outside of Abilene) to see Mamaw and Papaw. The boys had a great time riding the tractors they finally got to meet our newest little nephew, Jarrell... He is just so sweet!

Bryson was so excited to meet Jarrell... he would go over and check on him in his bouncer or in someone's lap and say, "be-be?!"




If Jarrell was awake, Coby was near him. He LOVES babies!

Bry is usually a little hesitant around new people, but he took a special liking to Papaw. It was so sweet!

Cason said this is his favorite picture because he remembers that Jarrell has soft hair!

Then we crossed the state line and headed to Jal, NM to visit my grandparents. We also got to see my big brother, Josh and his family. We dont see them very often, so it was a treat to have extra playtime with them. Josh preached and taught bible class, so that was special, too. He did a great job!

Now my house looks like hurricane katrina and I have laundry running out my ears, Micah has 2 more days of school and a kindergarten graduation this week, and this weekend is my 10-year hs reunion (gulp... has it really been 10 years?!), and my baby brother, Jordan is getting married this weekend, so all my blog-world friends need to prepare yourselves not to hear from me for another week or so! I still need to back-track and post pics of our beach trip, Coby's graduation, water day, etc... maybe later! :o)
